Black Bar Endler
These N Class Black Bar Endlers are a pure and wild type of Poecilia Wingei also known as "endlers livebearers". This line is originating from the Cumana region ( Laguna de los Patos ) in Venezuela. Their behavior is quite wild as Ive had them for a quite a while without a single sign of domestication in behavior. These endlers are less entitled, highly intelligent, have insane memory, wolf like personality and a complex social structure. An absolute pleasure to watch them create their pyramidal mating hierarchy. Countless hours have been spent dialing in their genetics to lock down the blackest of the black while including the most prominent color patterns, which appear vivid like a 3D art animation.
Very similar to humans, bees and ants Poecilia Wingei have a wide variety of social roles and personalities within their colony seemingly inline with their genetics. The mostly green and red bodied endlers blend into the sand very well making them very dificult to catch. The black is interestingly on top of their vital organs and tail which leads me to believe it may also be used to collect heat as well as being a physical representation of the testosterone levels as it becomes their first visible sexual dimorphism. The endlers with the most black tend to have an audacious alpha male demeanor and do not compete with other males but rather plot their actions observing more carefully. While all males seem to have a personalized repertoire of entrances into their mating flare, the alphas have the most creative and bold entrances with a much more sensitive mating ritual to match. They love warm green water so I recommend a strong light and of course a heavily planted aquarium.
Because of how sacred N Class Black Bar Endlers are; possibly facing extinction in the wild, I recommend keeping them separate from other guppies or endler types so as to not hybridize the line. If you're not in love with N Class Poecilia Wingei before owning these - you will be!
